Katie + Cody | Engaged!

Our engagement session with Katie and Cody was one of the first really nice evenings on the lake. I enjoy taking photos at Edgewater because it gives you a beautiful cityscape, nice walking paths and the lake at sunset. The most important aspect of an engagement session is being able to see your couple’s relationship through the lens. That’s what made this session with Katie and Cody so enjoyable. Nelli and I came up with a few ice-breakers to get to know them a little bit more. By the end of the evening we felt like close friends and you could definitely see how happy these two are together. Dan + Kelsey | Engaged!

Dan + Kelsey | Engaged! Dan and Kelsey are getting married next October. It seemed like we instantly connected with them. We had a great time with them on their engagement session walking around Cleveland and choosing our favorite backgrounds. Dan and Kelsey had several great ideas of their own. It was a beautiful evening. We will be looking forward to their Brookside Farms wedding. Here are some of our favorite images from our time together…

Brittany + Neil | Engaged!

We recently photographed Brittany + Neil | Engaged! session. These two are a perfect match. Even for me, though I’ve photographed hundreds of couples, it’s not that comfortable being photographed myself. This summer, Nelli and I did a video series that we’ll be announcing soon. It was a totally different perspective compared to what I was used to. Now, one of the most fulfilling things for me is helping couples overcome that initial uncomfortable feeling that I’m now well aquainted with and enjoy the moments they are sharing together. This was one of my favorite aspects of our session withBrittany + Neil | Engaged!. I hope you enjoy the images.

Hima + Eugene | Married!

Hima + Eugene | Married! in New York City and the City Hall. They loved the idea of sharing the experience with the many other beloved couples who walked through the doors that day. Of equal importance, was sharing this day with their most cherished friends and family. Nelli and I love traveling and shooting destination weddings. We hope to do more and more in the future. In recent years, I’ve become very comfortable photographing weddings. This was one of only events I felt a little nervous and about. A new city with unfamiliar locations may have something to do with it. It’s the first time I’ve really experienced New York City, and for the first few days it has an overwhelming sense to it. However, as soon as we saw Hima and Eugene, the nervousness vanished. We were honored to observe and capture their love for each other and the joy of the events they planned. Tatiana + Minh | Married!

Tatiana + Minh | Married! in Cleveland. Everything started at the Arcade, where they chose to have a first look before heading out to take photos with the group. The combination of beautiful settings and the excitement and love between these two made for a perfect wedding shoot. It was not without challenges from the weather, but the timing was always good. As we were taking photos at the cultural gardens it started to pour down, just after we had captured a few of my favorite shots. There were later Tornado warnings, but by then we were already enjoying the reception at Windows on the River. We are very happy for Tatiana and Minh and have enjoyed getting to know them.
