Keith + Denise | Married! at the beautiful Mooreland mansion amidst their family and closest friends. It was a beautiful sunny day for their outdoor ceremony in the Rose Garden. We appreciated how the reception was decorated with memories from their journey together. These two were a delight to photograph. You could tell how much they were enjoying their time together. Being able to capture their natural joyful reactions in such a beautiful space was great. I started off the day by hanging out with the guys who are all big Cleveland sports fans. Myles + Giovanna | Married!

Myles + Giovanna | Married!

Myles + Giovanna | Married! at a church with abundant generational history. Myles great-grandparents and onward had all been married at St Paul’s. Their reception on this beautiful summer day was held at the Conrad-Botzum Farmstead. This was a beautiful and amazing day for everyone involved. Myles was the first to get married among him and his four brothers. Giovanna is 9 years younger than her sister. As the “baby” of the home, you could sense this was an emotional and special experience for their family as well. Myles and Giovanna seem to be perfect for each other, as we noticed in the speeches from their family and the way they thoroughly enjoyed being together. Here are a few of our favorite images…

Little Meyers Boone

Little Meyers Boone

This blog represents something special to me.  It’s an introduction to some very important people in my life.  My brother David and his wife Stephanie just had their first child, Little Meyers Boone.  They live in Missoula, Montana where my brother David is a musician and his wife founded the Girl’s Way.  My brother is one of the most creative people I know.  He’s self produced nearly a dozen albums and toured the country with his music.  Check him out at davidboonemusic.com.  You will be glad you did.

Seeing David and Stephanie with Meyers reminded me of that experience.  Having your first child has to be one of the most memorable and extraordinary experiences of life.  It was a bonus that my first child, Alicia, was on the trip with me and helping me with the photo sessions.  I was able to shoot these pictures after an engagement session a few weeks ago.  Meyers is the 19th cousin of the Boone siblings.  Soon we will have our child, making it 20 cousins in the Boone clan.  Meyers is definitely a special kid.  He was giving me newborn fistbumps and acting like a baby model. Sarah + John | Anniversary Session!

Sarah + John | Anniversary Session!. We photographed Sarah and John’s wedding nearly 3 years ago, though it doesn’t seem nearly that long ago. Anniversary sessions are probably my favorite type of session to shoot. Weddings are great, but they are so fast-paced. Engagement sessions are fun and exciting, but there is feeling-out stage. Anniversary sessions are awesome because, as with Sarah and John, we are already friends – so there is a comfort level that makes the session relaxed. I feel like I can explore a bit more creatively as well. This session certainly felt more like a double-date than a job, and Sarah even snapped a few pictures of Nelli and I.
