Sarah & Forest | Winter Photos in Missoula

Here are a few photos from our photos session with our friends Sarah and Forest. We met them through the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. Sarah will be capturing some day-in-the-life images of our family later this year.  We are excited for that and will look forward to sharing them with you.  These two have been a bright spot for us since we moved back to Missoula.  Their family has been instrumental in creating a vibrant photography community in our favorite city.  We had a great time with you and hope this brings back some good memories:)

Merry Christmas to you both:)

2015 Holiday Mini Sessions Recap

Our 2015 Holiday Mini sessions were a huge success!  These were the 2nd mini-sessions that we have organized since moving to Missoula.

We had 14 families come and we enjoyed getting to know all of you.  They were the 2 days after Thanksgiving and I think it was the coldest 2 days of this winter we have had yet!  The kids were such troopers and so adorable!

Families were able to spend time roasting marshmallows, sipping hot cocoa and warming by the fire.  We even had snow!   From the sessions, we made holiday cards and many wall art displays.  Our home has been like Santa’s workshop since!

Thank you to everyone you came out!  We are so happy to have met all of you and feel like we made new friends in the process:)

The Good Family

Meet the Good Family.

Both Jesse and I met Davy Good when we were teenagers and both before we even met each other!  I met Davy at summer camp and Jesse met Davy on a snowboarding trip.  Davy and his siblings are some of our oldest friends.  If I were to describe Davy in one word…  it would be GOOD!  He is such a genuine friend, always putting other people first and extremely giving.  It seems like last year we were photographing their engagement session.  Now they have a big family of beautiful kids.

Let me tell you about these kids!  They were so sweet and so cute the entire shoot.  At one point when I was shooting, I felt a hug around my neck and a kiss on my cheek from one of the twins!  Alicia received the same treatment.  During editing, Jude (our 4 year old) was mesmerized by the twins. “They are the same, but they are different,” he proclaimed.

It was great to be able to spend an hour with them, and we hope to see them much more now that we are in Missoula.

Family portraits are special

Its that time of year.  You know, they start coming one by one in the mail…  Holiday cards! It is a way for you to update your friends and family on your own growing family with a beautiful picture.  Since moving back to Montana, I especially love getting cards from my friends in Ohio because I haven’t seen their family in a year.

Having your family portraits done once a year is also a great way to document your family year by year.  Our oldest daughter is now almost 17!  It is so special for us to be able to go back through the years and see how she has grown and how we have added to our family.  Each year the children change and to be able to have those memories visible to cherish is truly a priceless gift.

Family portraits are special.  They are a legacy of who your family was for future generations to enjoy.  Once printed and hung in our homes they are a daily reminder of our family as a whole and who we are together.  It shows the people that come into our homes what we are at our best:)

Right now is the perfect time to get your family portraits taken, and to get Holiday cards out in time for your friends and family to enjoy and admire.  The deadline for ordering cards to have back in time to mail is December 5.  We are also offering a give-away until then.

25 FREE cards with any package purchase.

Don’t wait… book your session today!
