Ashley & Rob | Married!

When Ashley and Robert came across my site they were living in Texas. They were planning a wedding at a resort near Ashley’s hometown of Missoula, Montana. The resort happened to be the Double Arrow Resort, which is in the town I grew up in. I actually worked at the lodge for a while as a teenager. Since meeting Robert and Ashley the first time, I knew I was going to experience a beautiful wedding that was going to be outdoors in what I now believe to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. Needless to say, I was excited for this one. Here is one of my favorite images…Ashley + Rob Married in Montana!

Robert and Ashley, congrats and thank you for having us be a part of your wedding day. It was remarkable. I felt like it was meant to be that we were able to photograph it for you.

Theresa & Miguel | Married

Miguel and Theresa are both living in New York City these days, but celebrated their wedding at a few of my favorite downtown Cleveland locations: St. John’s and the Old Courthouse. We started the day off at the Hyatt Arcade, where both Miguel and Theresa were getting ready. I could tell as soon as I met all the groomsmen, family and bridal party that this was going to be a fun day. You could see right away how happy everyone was for these two. Nelli and I both really appreciated Theresa and Miguel’s style. From the planning packet they sent out, to the decorations, to their avatar logo – it was all super stylish. You could tell that they were artists that used their wedding to express their style, and I love that. Here’s one of my favorites…

Thank you so much Miguel and Theresa. It’s was great to be able to spend this day with you. It was great meeting all of the family and guests. Congrats to you both! We’re looking forward to hearing about the honeymoon.

Kyle + Allison | Married

Kyle + Allison | Married. Kyle and Allison had their wedding ceremony at the beautiful St. John’s Cathedral in downtown Cleveland and their reception at the Union Club. For a mid-November wedding, I think we were all pleasantly astonished by a perfect day. Though they had previously reserved a few spots to do indoor photos, we stayed outside the whole time and enjoyed one of the last warm days of the year. The week leading up to the event was difficult for Allison and Kyle. They lost power for several days following the storm and fought through some sickness, but they both agreed that the beauty of their wedding day made all the trials worth it. Molly + Jeff | Married!

Molly + Jeff | Married! Being a part of Molly and Jeff’s wedding was energizing and refreshing. It’s a day I will never forget. Few times do I remember such a pure display of emotions in combination with such a beautiful story. Molly and Jeff’s parents are neighbors on the lake. Molly remembers seeing Jeff on the beach from a window when she was in high-school. Jeff had already moved out, so they wouldn’t actually meet until an appointment in a baggage claim in Denver. Both of the mom’s had been pushing for them to meet for quite some time. Both families were especially happy to see this day come true. It turns out they were both right. Molly and Jeff are perfect together. I’m not sure that I have ever seen someone truly breathe in each moment as deeply as Molly. Together, they savored each minute of this wedding day. Scott + Giovanna | Married!

Scott + Giovanna | Married! One of my favorite weddings I’ve ever photographed is here:) As a photographer, I’ve captured weddings where everything seemed perfect. You just have this deep feeling that the couple you are photographing is a perfect match for you to be able to express your creativity without fear – that your artistic vision seamlessly matches the story they are living. That’s what it felt like to photograph the wedding of Scott and Giovanna. Aside from the photographing the wedding, Nelli and I felt like we clicked with Giovanna and Scott right away.
