Jon & Heather | Rancho Palos Verdes Wedding

Heather and Jon were married in sunny southern California on a gorgeous summer day last August.  This was a very special wedding to me(Nelli) because it was my younger cousins wedding!  It was a time that all my family would be coming together.  I always get a new prespective whenever I get to photograph a family wedding.  Being with family the week before, anticipating the wedding and having our children as part of the wedding is so special.  It shows me how to relate with the couples that we photograph and to value those special moments of family being together.  Our daughter Alicia was my second shooter, which made it super fun:) It was also a special day because my parents were there, and it was their 40th wedding anniversary!!

Heather and Jon are both very talented musicians and actually met from being cast in the same musical production! The wedding was a very special day for both of them to bring together their families. They knew they wanted a beach themed wedding, so they chose the location, Point Vincente Interpretive Center in Palos Verdes that overlooked the Pacific Ocean.  The day couldn’t have been more beautiful with all the handmade decorations, perfect weather, awesome music and loving family.  Heather and Jon put together a band of very talented musicians and even surprised everyone with a guest appearance of both of them singing to wrap up the night!  Everyone who attended was totally blown away by their musical talents and also the love they share.

Congrats Heather and Jon!

Bre & Max | Married at Coeur d’Alene Resort

Here’s a showcase from the beautiful wedding of Max and Bre. Nelli and I enjoyed spending time and getting to know them and their families. As anyone in the area would know, we had a few weeks of smoke from the forest fires here in the Northwest. Here’s what the view from the resort looked like when we arrived.

I was immediately ready to embrace the strange weather for the chance at unique images.  I think Max and Bre were going to embrace any weather and were just happy to be getting married, spending the day with the most important people in their lives.  I felt like we immediately clicked.  Nelli and I both know this would be a special day, not only for Max and Bre, but also for us.  We came to this very resort for our honeymoon.  Back then we would have never imagined photographing a beautiful wedding here.

As the day moved swiftly forward, the smoke lifted.  The joy of Max and Bre set the tone for an amazing time of celebration on the terrace overlooking Lake Coeur d’Alene.  Congrats Max and Bre!  We are thankful to have been a part of your special day.

Nicole + Phil | Married

Nicole + Phil | MarriedNicole and Phil feel like close friends. We had an adventurous engagement session with them last year where we went on a hike in Cuyahoga National Park. Since then we have been looking forward to the wedding for a lot of reasons. Spending time with them is a lot of fun, and we knew their wedding would be amazing. It included several great locations for photography. The ceremony was at the Old Stone Church and the Reception was at the Shoreby Club. These are two great locations. Also, the flowers were done by Pieter Bouterse Studio. I really admire their work as well. The best thing about the day was seeing the joy on Nicole and Phil’s faces from the beginning to the end. Meeting their amazingly supportive family and friends was a highlight as well. I hope you enjoy a few of the images from this special day. Check Nicole + Phil | Married pictures

Jessica + Joe | Married!

Jessica + Joe | Married! So far this year I haven’t had many wedding day weather scares. This weekend was the one I thought might be a little different because everytime I checked the forecast it looked a bit more ominous prior to the wedding. However, Jessica and Joe’s wedding day couldn’t have turned out better. It rained a few times, but it seemed as though it was only when we were in the car from one location to the next. I loved the way they decorated and the colors they chose. I especially appreciated seeing how much Jessica and Joe loved each other throughout the day. You truly walked away saying they were meant for each other. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day… Check Jessica + Joe | Married! pictures
