Scott + Giovanna | Married!

Scott + Giovanna | Married! One of my favorite weddings I’ve ever photographed is here:) As a photographer, I’ve captured weddings where everything seemed perfect. You just have this deep feeling that the couple you are photographing is a perfect match for you to be able to express your creativity without fear – that your artistic vision seamlessly matches the story they are living. That’s what it felt like to photograph the wedding of Scott and Giovanna. Aside from the photographing the wedding, Nelli and I felt like we clicked with Giovanna and Scott right away. As a friend, it was thrilling to go through the moments of this day with such happiness for these two. Here are some of my favorite images of their story…Scott + Giovanna | Married!

Scott + Giovanna | Engaged! to be married and it’s coming soon:) We had such a great time with them. After making some last minute changes in the plans, I think we were all happy to be at a beautiful park on the lake. I hope you enjoy the images. Katie + Cody | Married!

Katie + Cody | Married! Katie and Cody’s wedding has been an event we’ve been looking forward to since spending time with them both early this spring. They are such a sweet couple and we hit it off with them right away. It was so great to see Katie preparing for the day. She was overflowing with excitement and so was everyone else in the room. You could tell how much her family meant to her and how special this day was for everyone involved. It seems like this year every time we’ve had a possible issue with the weather, that concern has vanished as soon as we arrive. Today was no different. Kara + Travis | Married! Travis and Kara’s fall wedding had to be exactly what they were hoping for. It was a bright, crisp November day in Oberlin. They were married at one of my favorite chapels – Fairchild Chapel of Oberlin. The sun poured through the windows during a joyful ceremony. Your could sense how special this day was to the families as well. As soon as a I met Kara and Travis, I knew this was a wedding I would love. They are an artistic couple and they used their wedding to express that. Kara has a wonderful eye for photography as well. A few of my favorite shots were moments and compositions she noticed during the day. It was an inspiring day that felt like a time with close friends. Bridget + David | Married!

Bridget + David | Married! Get ready to meet a sweet couple. We had the honor of photographing David and Bridget’s Christmastime wedding at the Courthouse. The day started off at the Key Center where we began to meet David and Bridget’s family and friends. Knowing how much Bridget loved Christmas, you see that this event was shaping up to be her dream wedding with all the holiday decorations around. What struck me most was how important this day was to all the family as well. You could see in the smiles and the tears throughout the day, that this wasn’t just a wedding – it was a once-in-a-lifetime moment that everyone was taking in fully. It was special to see the closeness between David and Bridget and their parents. Since Bridget is the oldest of 9 siblings, this day was a special day for the whole family.
